CUSTER SWORD
(Monroe Democrat, June 25, 1891, p1c1)
The Boston Post says the sword which Custer used in his campaigns against the Indians, and which he lost his life at the battle of the Little Big Horn, is now in possession of a Chicago man. Its battered blade is as flexible as whalebone, and it looks as if it had been though many a hand-to-hand encounter. It is covered with innumberable designs of drums, flags, cannon and other implements of warfare.
