Board Meeting
President Gaylor called meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. with the Pledge of Allegiance.
Roll Call Gramlich, Liedel, Weyher, Younglove, Gaylor, Grubb, McCurdy present.
VanAuker, Lieto, absent.
Motion: Younglove 2nd Liedel to accept Feb. 16th 2005 minutes as read. Carried
Motion: Liedel 2nd Gramlich to pay bills as presented. Carried
Treasurer Report: accepted as read.
Items From the Floor: No public comment.
Old Business
Street Paving 2005
On March 1, 2005 at 9:00a.m. bids were received for the 2005 Street Paving Project. Cadillac Asphalt came in as the low bid of $164,776.00 OHM Consulting Engineers based on their findings and past experience recommend award of this contract to Cadillac Asphalt L.L.C.
Council also agreed to expand this project to include Smith St. and to pave Raisin St. to the north side of the park. Approximate additional cost will be $85,000 from the General Fund Account.
Motion: Gramlich 2nd Liedel to award the 2005 Street Paving Project to Cadillac Asphalt in the amount of $164,776.00 In addition Raisin St. to the north side of the park and Smith St. will be paved for the approximate additional cost of $85,000 from General Funds. Carried.
Motion: Younglove 2nd Weyher approved President Gaylor to sign contracts for the 2005 Street paving project. Carried. 5 Yeas 0 Nays
Repairs of Sewers on Joseph and High St. President Gaylor explained why the final bill was higher than the original estimate of $2,541.00. Final bill was $9,672.48 . Installed was one new catch basin, 250' of 6" storm drain line from the catch basin to the drainage ditch. Existing lines and catch basins cleaned and blown out.
Motion: Weyher 2nd Gramlich approved additional cost of the repairs. Carried.
Sewer At Village Hall Larry Rorke gave a new estimate of around $3,700 to tap into the sewer and run the line to the Hall.
Motion: Gramlich 2nd Younglove approval of the new estimate from Larry Rorke. Carried.
Installation of City Water: City of Monroe is charging $3,844.22 for water hook up.
Motion: Gramlich 2nd Liedel to pay the City of Monroe $3,844.22 for the water hook up. Carried.
Construction of Restroom: President Gaylor discussed the restroom layout. Tony Desliva of the JAWS Program called to say he has a master plumber available.
New Business:
Sewer Tap for Cliff Weyher: Mr. Weyher asked for councils approval to tap into the end of the sewer line.
Motion: Gramlich 2nd Liedel to let Cliff Weyher tap into the end of the sewer line. Carried
Maybee Day Report: Roxanne McCurdy reported things are moving along. She stated the committee could use some more volunteers. Roxanne also said she needed a sponsor for the Falla Family Fiddlers. The cost would be $100.00 . Mr. Larry Gramlich said he would sponsor the fiddlers through his business.
Historical Museum President Gaylor asked council if they are still interested in turning the Village Hall into a historical museum. All agreed.
Motion: Younglove 2nd Weyher to adjourn at 8:30 p.m. Carried.
