Meeting Minutes January 11, 2006
Board Meeting

President Gaylor opened meeting at 7:30 p.m. with the Pledge of Allegiance.

Roll Call: Council present, Gramlich, VanAuker, Weyher, Leidel. Absent Younglove, Leito. President Gaylor, Treasurer Grubb, Clerk McCurdy present.

Motion: Gramlich 2nd Leidel to accept 12/14/05 minutes as read. Carried.

Motion: VanAuker 2nd Weyher to pay bills as presented. Carried.

Treasurer Report: accepted as printed.

Items from the Floor: No public comment.

Old Business:

Multi Purpose Building: New doors to be in next week. The building is ready to layout and install plumbing. Next will be the concrete floor.

Street Paving for 2006: The reconstruction and widening of Bluebush Rd. from the railroad tracks to Palmer Rd. will cost $769,000.00. The high cost has made this project at this time not feasible. President Gaylor to meet with engineering firm to discuss cost.

Maybee Day Committee: Will meet 1/17/06 7:30 p.m. at Village Hall. Any one interested may come or call to inquire at 587-2900.

New Business:

Snow Removal Standard: Due to a couple village residents complaints about drive ways being plowed shut during high snow accumulation. President Gaylor asked if the snow removal has been satisfactory? Council agreed it has and the snow removal standard will remain the same.

Tree Removal: Tree located at Barkers Auction on the corner of Main & Bluebush was trimmed. Being as the Village of Maybee owns 33' from the center on either side of any Street the owners of Barkers assumed the Village of Maybee would pay their tree service bill of $ 450.00. Council stated the Village will not pay for this service because approval was never asked for or given.

Christmas Decorations: Village decorations will be taken down starting tomorrow. The village once again looked great this Christmas Season.

Kitchen Cabinets for Hall: President Gaylor said he was ready to put in cabinets for the new kitchenette. President Gaylor said he should be able to purchase them for under $1000.00 and asked for Councils approval.

Motion: Gramlich 2nd Weyher to spend up to $1000.00 for kitchen cabinets. Carried.

Zoning Board of Appeal: George Cousino, Marvin Iott, Leo Quell, Bob VanAuker, Dale Younglove

Recreation Committee: Kathy Coleman, Stephanie Suydam, Kurt Thyer, Jeff Iott, Dave Shaw, Dawn Kroskey

Library Board: Dale Younglove, Donna Younglove

LMR Fire Board: Leonard Gaylor, Jean Grubb

Historical Committee: Leonard Gaylor, Jean Grubb, Marge VanAuker

Motion: VanAuker 2 nd Weyher to adopt the standing Boards and Committees. Carried.

Maybee Day Committee to be determined.

Motion: Gramlich 2nd VanAuker to adjourn at 8:15 p.m. Carried.
