First Presbyterian Church - Public Square Rev. Douglas P. Putnam Pastor. Preaching Sabbath morning, 11 o'clock; Evening 7:00 o'clock. Sabbath School. 9:30 a.m. Church prayer meeting Friday evening 7:00. Meeting of the Ladies Missionary Society in the chapel first Wednesday of each month, at 3 p.m.
First M.E. Church - Corner Monroe and 2nd streets; Rev. D. Caster, Pastor Sunday services 10:30 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.; Sunday school teachers meetings, Wednesday evening: General prayer last Friday of each month at 3 p.m.
