LIQUOR SMUGGLERS USING NEW BRIDGE

Detroit, Nov. 18- The new Ambassador Bridge between Detroit and the border, cities had seen less than 11 hours service when customs inspectors detected three men attempting to smuggle liquor across the span.
Four quarts of whiskey were found in the back seat of one man's automobile and soon after two other men were caught, each with a quart. The standard fine of $5 for each bottle of liquor was assessed by Walter S. Petty, acting collector of customs.
