Saturday was one of the most delightful days at the Monroe Piers yet experienced this summer. There were a number of family parties from Detroit and Toledo and they concluded that when they wished to have a really good picnic they would come here again instead of chosing the banks of the Detroit River and Maumee. One could wade out to the lake almost as far as the lighthouse and swimmers were delighted to find a new spring board and a diving platform, which had been up since the week before.
