Bygones of Monroe:

Dundee and Summerfield
A company is forming in Dundee and Summerfield for the Eighteenth Regiment, with R.P. Ingersoll as Captain.  Some forty or upwards have joined it.  Recruiting has also been active in that section for Seventeenth.  We hear that about thirty have enlisted in that Regiment from Dundee alone.

War Meeting at Blue Bush
A war meeting was held in Blue Bush neighborhood on Tuesday evening, and we understand fourteen walked up and signed the muster roll.  A large number in that neighborhood have enlisted.

The War Meeting Last Night
Hon. Geo. C. Bates addressed a very large meeting at the Court House last night on the subject of the war.  His address was eloquent and stirring, and frequently called forth rapturous applause.
