The Monroe County Library System continues to promote diversity, tolerance, and acceptance in our collection, programming, and staff interactions.  Libraries serve as a haven for all people to learn, explore, and grow in the knowledge that they are safe and respected.  The following reading lists address activism, equality, and standing against racism.
During the June 2020 meeting, the MCLS Board of Trustees joined with libraries around the nation to sign the Urban Library Council’s statement on Racial and Social Equality. More about this can be found here.
