Art and Photo Show demonstrating the creativity and the unique work of local artists!
April 29 to May 10, 2019
Join your fellow local artists and show off your favorite work! Your art may be photography, painting, metal work, hot or flat glass, jewelry, sculpture, drawing, fabric or paper art, wood, digital art, photography, or even something else as long as it is creative and uniquely yours.
Show Guidelines
- You may drop off your work at the library during regular library hours, April 15 through April 26, 2019.
- Photos may be black and white, or in color. Photos do not need to be framed, but should be matted. You may exhibit up to ten photos. Cell phone and other photo-taking technology is encouraged. Creative, abstract, close-up, and unusual photography are all welcomed. Photos may be any size from 4x6 to a finished matted size of 16 x 20.
- Please include a few typed sentences telling the story of each of your pieces. Visitors love reading how the photo and artwork came into being!
- The week of March 18, 2019 the editor of The Independent will be at the library to interview participating photographers and artists. If you would like to be interviewed, please contact Cheryl at the Summerfield-Petersburg Branch Library.
